Pinvin Pub to Host More Art Classes

People have had the chance to try and enjoy oil painting, pottery, mosaic tile making

and more at a Pinvin pub over recent weeks,

as a fun social arts and crafts group has continued in the village.

Because of their popularity with residents, and thanks to funding from

Wychavon District Council and Pinvin Parish Council,

the arts and craft classes in the Coach and Horses pub

have been on offer throughout May and June,

and they will now continue into July and August.

The next class for adults, which will be learning the art of mosaics and making

your own mosaic tile, is on Tuesday 3 July from 10.30am until 12 noon

and costs £4 per person (with refreshments included).

The following art class will then run on Tuesday 17 July,

and will be all about reusing paper and the art of origami.

This class will also start at 10.30am and will run until 12 noon

and the cost will be £4 per person.

Jenny Davis, Arts Development Officer at Wychavon District Council, said:

“It’s brilliant that these classes are continuing into July.

Everyone who has come along to our group has had a fantastic time

and the classes are very popular.  There is very little for adults

to do in the village so I’m glad that we can help

reduce loneliness and isolation through the classes.

The group is very friendly and there is always a warm welcome.”

If you want to book a place on the class, contact Jenny Davis

on 01386 565396 or email jenny.davis@wychavon.gov.uk.

Funding for these classes will continue until March 2019,

and more dates details will be announced shortly.
